What’s not to love tonight about the under? The game total sits at a whopping 229.5 points. We feel oddsmakers have this total incorrectly listed. The Nuggets come off a horrendous first game against the Jazz where they scored just 102 points, the second fewest of any NBA team. They couldn’t hit from outside going just 5 of 22 from three. Tonight, their task is even tougher: face a stellar Warriors defensive unit that won the championship a year ago and is even better this year with a healthy Klay Thompson and company. In 2021 Golden State allowed just 105.8 points per game, ranked 4th in the NBA. MVP Nikola Jokic is listed as probable due to a sprained right finger. Even if he plays, this injury will affect his shooting hand. Plus, star point guard Jamal Murray is questionable due to injury management – they want to limit his playing time early in the season. This all lends itself to a likely lower-scoring affair, particularly on the Nuggets side. In the 2021 season only 5 teams had unders hit at a higher rate than the Warriors. It’s simple: they LOCK DOWN.
