Celtics Path to Finals:

The NBA best 64-18 Celtics continued to look like the best team as they tore through the Eastern Conference. They did most of it without star center Porzingis but did have the blessing of injury ridden opponents. Derrick White was the story in the 1st round as Celtics beat Miami in 5 games (who was without top scorers Butler and Rozier). White had 22.4 ppg on 57.7% shooting. In the 2nd round they took out the Cavs in 5 games (who was without MItchell for most of series) led by their star duo of Brown and Ttatum as they combined to average 50.2 PPG 16.6 REB 9 AST. In the ECF they swept the Pacers (who missed Haliburton most of series) despite trailing late in 3 of the 4 games. The duo took it to another level in the conference finals as they combined to average 60.1 PPG 15.3 REB 9.3 AST. 

NBA Finals: 

Celtics took care of business on their home floor in first 2 games of the series. Jrue Holiday was phenomenal in Game 2 as Celtics took 2-0 series lead with a 105-98 win, he led with 26 PTS 11 REB on 11/14 shooting. Meanwhile, Porzingis was game high +12 in +/- is questionable to play tonight due to a ‘serious’ ankle injury. Tatum had everything going but the scoring as he had 18 PTS 9 REB 12 AST but shot just 6/22. Luka did his part dropping a 32 PT Triple-Double but Kyrie was underwhelming for 2nd straight game. Neither team shot well from 3 with Mavs going 6/26 and Celtics 10/39. 

Boston is 6-0 (3-3 ATS) on the road this playoffs and were 2nd best in NBA 27-14 on the road this season. Dallas is 5-3 (4-4 ATS) on their home floor this playoffs and were 25-16 during regular season.

Through first 2 games a lot of the best players in the series have not been scoring up to their potential. A lot of missed buckets from the former teammates Kyrie and Tatum. The books are sharp and the total of 216.5 in Game 1 was closer to the true number on this series. 

Both teams shot 26% from 3 in Game 2, look for more buckets to fall in an up tempo Game 3 tonight as Mavs will be playing to save their season.
