Bucks vs. Timberwolves

Friday night primetime NBA value is found when the T-wolves host the undefeated Milwaukee Bucks!

We look to “Ant-Man”, Timberwolves SG Anthony Edwards, and his point production tonight. The O/U currently sits at 22.5 points. We look for line functionality and this line produces that. Edwards averages 23.1PPG this season and in two games against Milwaukee last year he put up 25 in each game. Yet, oddsmakers set his line lower than these averages for several reasons. They see the opponent.

The Bucks have had by far the best defense in the NBA this season holding opponents to a #1 ranked 102 PPG. That is 3.8 points per game lower than the next best team. Statistically speaking, in order for Edwards to get 23+ points he has to make at least 3+ three-pointers (he has yet to score more than 18 points without hitting 3+ threes this season). That will be an issue against a Bucks defense that is ranked in the top 10 in opponent 3-point shooting, allowing just 34% from deep. Bucks guard Jrue Holiday is a 4-time all-defensive team recipient and should get some chances to lock down Edwards. We must also account for the fact that Edwards may be on a minutes restriction due to an illness he’s battling so he won’t be 100%.

All things here point one way – Take Anthony Edwards UNDER 22.5 points!
