Thursday night in the NBA features a battle in the East as the New York Knicks visit the Boston Celtics for the 2nd matchup this season. Where is the value?? Look no further than the NBA’s 3rd leading scorer, Jayson Tatum. His player prop lines are at O/U 30.5 points, O/U 8.5 rebounds, and O/U 5.5 assists. We like Tatum to be aggressive tonight and get tons of shots up while getting to the free throw line frequently. In Tatum’s last 5 games he’s averaging 35 points/game and this line would’ve gone 4-1 (80%). Teammate Jaylen Brown is back in the lineup and although he takes some of the scoring load, Tatum is way more efficient with him on the court as he opens things up. More than halfway through the season, trending is useful. Tatum gets up more shots in home games and averages 3.4 more PPG at home (32.9). Intangibles matter. Boston is coming off back-to-back losses and will be fully geared up to dominate tonight. Look for them to play freely and get out in transition. The Knicks give up the 3rd most points in the NBA to the SF position and they don’t have a good option to shut down Tatum. The Celtics average 122 points/game at home and we see Tatum accounting for at least 25% of that tonight.
