We look to cash our 8th straight free pick tonight as the Miami Heat visit the struggling Phoenix Suns.

Oddsmakers see a close game with the Heat favored by 1.5 points and the O/U listed at 214 points. Where is the value?? We look to the point total in a game between two hungry teams which shows line functionality. Phoenix has lost 12 of their last 16 games and are struggling without Devin Booker. They just came off a season low 83 points. Yet, oddsmakers have the point total upwards of 217 points as they expect a good Friday night showing between two desperate teams. Phoenix is still offensively capable as they average 113.5 points/game. On the other end they’ve been worse than normal defensively allowing 111.2 points/game. The Suns are the 4th best team at shooting the deep ball while Miami ranks 28th defending the three. Look for Chris Paul to find open shooters while Ayton battles down low. The Heat will show up hungry tonight after a bad loss to a Lakers team without Lebron or AD. Miami is closing out a 5-game Western Conference road trip and will be energized knowing a W sends them home with a winning record. We expect good shooting tonight from Butler, Herro, and efficiency on the block from Adebayo. These teams played once this season with the Heat winning 113-112 on November 14th. The over has hit 63.6% of the time (2nd highest in NBA), covering by an average of 4.7 points, when Phoenix is an underdog. Public bettors will likely overreact to the Suns without Booker and take the under. But Vegas places sharp value on the over tonight. Plus, in what should be a closely contested game, overtime is always a possibility to get us there.
