Friday night NBA value comes in primetime as the Lakers host the Memphis Grizzlies. Oddsmakers have the Grizz favored by 7 and the O/U at 242.5 points.

Where is the value??

Look no further than the point total. We feel the line is heavily over-inflated. In their last 10 matchups, these two teams have only surpassed this total one time, meaning this line would have cashed the under at a 90% clip. The other reason the line has overreacted is because the over is 8-0 in the last 8 Memphis games. However, in the Grizzlies last 10 games overall, this
number (243+ points) has only been hit one time. Oddsmakers have continually increased the line and it has finally gotten too high. Lebron’s status for this game is questionable due to ankle
soreness. Without him and AD the Lakers wouldn’t have enough offensive firepower to hit this number. If he does play, great. He offers better defense to slow down Memphis and usually
controls the offense at a more steady rate. LA will also be without Lonnie Walker IV and Austin Reaves tonight. Check out the Grizzlies defense. They are ranked #1 in the NBA in opponent FG% and allow the 8th fewest points/game. It won’t be easy buckets tonight for the Lakers offense. Memphis is looking for their franchise record 12th straight win so they will come hungry
and play physical. This is simply too many points.
