Friday night NBA player prop value pops as we have yet another quality selection in a Celtics matchup. The Phoenix Suns travel to Boston where they are 10-point underdogs. We look to all- star Jayson Tatum’s lines again: O/U 30.5 points, O/U 8.5 rebounds, and O/U 4.5 assists.

The value tonight lies in his assist total. Tatum has been scorching hot scoring the ball but we feel tonight’s game will lead to more facilitation of the offense. The Suns play pretty physical defense and will try to force the ball out of Tatum’s hands with Ayton’s help defense around the paint.
Tatum averaged 5.4 assists/game in January and his teammates are shooting the ball effectively. He hit this number (5+ assists) in 6 straight games from January 12th thru the 24th and we look for this success to continue. One large reason for this is Robert Williams III being back in the lineup. The Suns frontcourt will be forced to help double team Tatum off the pick n roll which should lead to some easy buckets or alley-oop opportunities for the dominant Williams III. He has a 77% FG% on the year and almost every bucket comes off an assist. The rest of the Celtics roster can spread the floor and shoot the three (8th best shooting % in the NBA from deep) so Tatum can kick it out to the open shooters. This number is simply too low tonight!
