We look to cash another NBA value play tonight when two of the top teams in the NBA go at it.

Oddsmakers post a total points line that we want to feast on. This game should be an absolute heavyweight battle back and forth with the spread favoring Boston slightly at -2. While both teams rank near the top of the NBA in offensive efficiency, they don’t actually have a fast pace of play (ranked 18th and 21st in possessions/game). Because of this, and the quality of defensive caliber on each roster, look for a more physical, tough-scoring night. Defensive quality in the NBA takes a month or two to develop chemistry on the court and you should see some of that tonight. Looking back to last season Boston was ranked #1 in the NBA and Phoenix #5 in defensive efficiency. These teams can get after it, especially in big games. Historical trending: In their last 10 matchups, these two teams have only scored 232+ points ONE time. Boston hasn’t been great on the road lately. The under is 6-0-1 in their last 7 road games and not one time did the total surpass 231.5 points. Phoenix has their top-scorer coming off a game where he (Booker) scored just 11 points. Rumor has it CP3 may be back from his injury and that would only slow down pace of play as well as he facilitates.
