Thursday Night football in the NFC West will be a great showdown! As the 49ers visit the Seahawks we look to Seattle QB Geno Smith for some prop bet value. His lines are as follows: O/U 1.5 touchdown passes, O/U 20.5 completions, and O/U 235.5 passing yards.
Tonight’s game will be tough for Seattle’s offense in some aspects. They are facing the #1 rushing defense so we can assume they won’t move the ball effectively on the ground. Plus, as the underdog they will likely face more passing scenarios. This will allow Geno to go to work thru the air to DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. San Francisco’s defense has allowed an average of 23.1 completions/game over the last 7 games. Specific line value: with oddsmakers posting a yardage line of 235.5 and Smith averaging 11.2 yards/completion this season, the completions line should be around 21-22. Great value here in a line we feel should be higher. In a 7-27 loss to these same Niners on September 18th Smith went 24 for 30 (80%) for 197 yards. Geno is playing unreal this year, leading the NFL in completion percentage at 71.5%. The 2nd ranked QB is more than 3 percentage points behind him which is a large margin for the NFL.
